1946-2001 BELFOR began business as Quality Awnings & Construction in Dearborn in 1946 and became Inrecon L.L.C. in 1981. 2001 With the takeover of the existing US-market leader INRECON LLC in July 2001, BELFOR accomplished a major coup. INRECON - the name stands for INsurance RECONstruction - has annual sales of $180 million and employs 1,000 staff. Sheldon Yellen is the CEO of Inrecon.[1]Tropical Storm Allison - Jones Hall, the Wortham Theater Center and the Alley Theater all suffered damage in the flooding. They lost thousands of musical scores, ballet costumes and irreplaceable musical instruments, including three Steinway concert grand pianos. 2004 Hurricane Ivan - Performed thermal vacuum freeze drying to restore more than 4,000 boxes of documents, half of the vital records in the Cayman National Archive .[2]

2007 BELFOR Holdings Inc. acquires DUCTZ International, LLC, a professional air duct cleaning and HVAC (heating/ventilating/air conditioning) restoration franchise network. With current locations in 22 states, DUCTZ can now grow in tandem with BELFOR to increase its independent client base, as well as service BELFOR clients with HVAC restoration services.[3]
2009 BELFOR USA acquires Hawaii Restorative Services of Honolulu, enabling it to respond quickly to losses occurring in Hawaii, Samoa and the other Pacific islands.[4]
2010 BELFOR USA acquires Coach's Catastrophe. Chile earthquake - installed more than 753,000 square feet of shrink wrap protection and restored one of South America's largest data warehouses, including millions of documents and data media.
